Project in FMCG sales forecasting

We are proud to announce that we have started a project with a leading worldwide manufacturer of FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) to forecast their global sales. Increased sales precision will allow this client to improve the capacity planning of its production lines by knowing in advance how much output will be needed in a certain point in time.

We have tailored our CrowdWorx Prediction Market software to fit exactly into the existing S&OP process of the client. Forecasts are done on a weekly basis for the most important products.

 

In order to boost participation we went beyond the traditional incentives in Prediction Markets (top trader ranking, internal recognition, cash prizes, and other winnings like iPods etc.). We introduced incentives which are widely used in the multiplayer computer gaming industry. Some of those incentives include social peer motivation, activity badges, and trophies.
