CrowdWorx presented at SMI Workshop on Collective Intelligence

CrowdWorx presented one of its projects at SMI Workshop on Collective Intelligence hosted at the School of Management of the Stuttgart Institute of Management and Technology (SIMT). The project was presented in front of a selected circle of 20 leading social scientists.

We were happy about the feedback – the most intriguing being the notion that CrowdWorx was an example of Collective Intelligence actually creating real business value – in this case by lowering costs for test sales as well as costs of forgone sales or over-capacity by increasing sales forecasting precision.

The accompanying paper by Georg Preller from com-voco will be published in the confernence proceedings later this year under the title: Der Informationsmarkt als Prognoseinstrument für den Einzelhandel (German language).

Update 26th Nov 2009: See the post on the publication of the paper.
